RON RHODES works as a River Steward for Connecticut River Conservancy (CRC) in Vermont and New Hampshire.  He spends most of his time removing obsolete dams, planting trees and working with farmers on erosion issues.  Prior to joining the CRC, Ron was a licensed New Hampshire fishing guide and taught the fly fishing class at Dartmouth College.  He has served for two decades on the boards of the Greater Upper Valley chapter of Trout Unlimited and the White River Partnership.  Ron is a graduate of Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH, where he majored in Political Science and Economics.  Prior to moving to Vermont’s “Upper Valley,” where he lives with his wife Betsy and their bird dog Kaylea, Ron worked in politics and government in Washington D.C. and Ohio.
