ZACHARY GRIEFEN grew up in Vermont and learned to fly fish in New Mexico. Zak is a litigation attorney for Conservation Law Foundation specializing in the federal Clean Water Act. He is admitted to practice law in several state and federal jurisdictions in the Northeast. Zak ties his own flies and haunts the rivers and streams around his home in Montpelier, Vermont, with occasional jaunts farther afield. He firmly believes that by protecting trout waters and native fish populations, we can drive progress toward sustainable land use, forestry, and development.
