AARON HARDY

The wildlife and its habitat cannot speak, so we must and we will.
— Theodore Roosevelt

AARON HARDY was born and raised in the north country of New York State. He currently resides in Massena, New York, near the mighty St Lawrence River. Aaron developed his love for all things outdoors while following in his grandfather’s footsteps while they fished and hunted. A few years spent living in South Florida ignited an interest in intercoastal waterways, but ultimately his family settled in the north country. Aaron is an advocate for his community, working as a full-time firefighter and volunteering on several advisory committees to help increase awareness of outdoor and other opportunities in the area. He also promotes the outdoor adventures available in St Lawrence and Franklin Counties via his personal blog, Northern NY Adventures. While Aaron’s favorite river to fish is the Salmon River in Franklin County, he never passes up an opportunity to cast a fly on small Adirondack streams for wild native brook trout. Aaron is a strong supporter of preserving native species and increasing public awareness of their importance to our ecosystems. He can be reached at Info@nativefishcoalition.org
