CLAY GRACE grew up in southeast Alabama.  He is an avid kayaker and fly fisher.  Clay enjoys fishing Alabama’s numerous creeks and rivers where he targets rare species of black bass, panfish, bowfin, and occasionally redfish.  Clay is a member of the Jackson Kayak Fishing Team and is an Alabama Scenic River Trail Ambassador.  Fishing has taught Clay the needs and benefits of conservation for native fish, especially in the river and stream ecosystems that he fishes and paddles.  Clay is working to increase awareness and protection of Choctaw Bass, a species of black bass that are not yet fully described or understood.  He is an amateur photographer who enjoys documenting his adventures afield.  Clay looks forward to working with NFC’s Alabama chapter to help protect the region’s wild native fish.  He can be reached through Instagram at @fishingwithgrace or by email at AL@NativeFishCoalition.org
