JENN DUNN is the South Fork Watershed Manager for Catawba Riverkeeper where she works to protect and improve water quality, recreation, and aquatic habitat of the South Fork of the Catawba River. Jenn partners with groups such as the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission and the South Fork Collective, as well as local stakeholders, to advance projects to improve water quality and increase biodiversity.  She also assists with projects such as teh removal of dams and other manmade structures, habitat restoration, water quality surveys, and is working to start a fish monitoring program at Catawba Riverkeeper. Jenn found her passion for aquatic biology while pursuing her Bachelors degree in Natural Resource Conservation and Management at Western Carolina University. With a focus on aquatic habitat and fisheries management Jenn conducted research on fish habitat in the Little Tennessee River and its impacts on native fish species assemblages.  Jenn started her career in aquatic conservation with the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission in the Foothills region where she monitored native fish, crayfish, and mussels. This introduced her to water bodies across the state such as the Broad, Catawba, Yadkin, and Dan River basins and their aquatic life. Jenn looks to expand her work to conserve wild native fish through her role with Native Fish Coalition. She can be reached at Info@NativeFishCoalition.org
