NFC ADDS TOPHER JONES TO NATIONAL ADVISORY COUNCIL

Topher Jones 3.jpg

TOPHER JONES is NFC’s first youth board or advisory council member. When you look into what he has done, he deserves the recognition. Topher will help NFC better understand how to reach young people in regard to getting them involved in native fish conservation. We will also work with him in regard to fund-raising, as he has a proven track record.

Topher Jones has raised over $15,000 for native fish habitat work in just over a year.

Topher created the Lonesome Larry Project, a web-based initiative that raises public awareness and money for sockeye salmon, after learning about Lonesome Larry, the lone sockeye salmon that returned to Redfish Lake is Idaho one year. Starting with socks, he expanded into other types of sockeye-theme schwag that is sold through his website to raise money for sockeye conservation.

Before Topher had reached his teens, he had done more for wild native fish than most adults.
