CHRIS OWEN

CHRIS OWEN is an avid fly fisher.  He has lived in Vermont for more than four decades.  After graduating from University of Denver in 1974, Chris worked as a commercial fly tyer, news reporter and photographer.  He moved to Vermont to pursue a career promoting renewable energy and efficiency for the Vermont State Energy Office.  Chris also has experience as a legislative liaison and consumer advocate.  In his spare time he builds wooden skiffs, for fishing, of course, and fly fishes the waters of New England, Rocky Mountains and Florida.  Retired, Chris’ time is split between Worcester Vermont, Northeast Florida and his “fish camp” at Holland Pond in Vermont.  Chris served as VT NFC Chair from summer 2020 through late 2022.
