BOB DALTON
BOB DALTON served as MA NFC’s inaugural Chair for over 3 years. When the chapter was launched, he hit the ground running and never let up. Bob got immediate wins on the board and set MA NFC up to succeed through his contacts within the state, project ideas and leadership. He has a B.S. in Freshwater Fisheries Biology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Bob worked for MassWildlife, University of Massachusetts Amherst Plum Island Sound Comparative Ecosystems Study, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service-Massachusetts Fisheries Co-operative Research Unit, and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Atlantic Salmon Restoration Program. Bob served as a board member for the Shawsheen River Greenway and is currently a land warden in the town of Andover. He has been involved in volunteer eel studies as well as the reintroduction of herring to the Shawsheen River. Bob initiated and helped implement hunting programs in several communities in Massachusetts to help address overabundant deer herds due to the lack of natural predators, posted land, and limited hunting pressure. He received the Robert A. Pustell Award in 2013 from the Andover Conservation Commission for his work with regard to wildlife management in the town. Bob is a volunteers volunteer. After serving for another 3 months as a Member at Large to help transition the chapter to a new leadership team, Bob stepped away to take a much deserved break. He will continue to be involved in MA NFC as a non-board volunteer.
