ALLEN CARPENTER

ALLEN CARPENTER was born, raised, and currently resides in north central West Virginia. Growing up minutes from Tygart Lake State Park, he learned to fish with his father, a lifetime sportsman. After a few years away from the water, Allen renewed his enthusiasm and appreciation for fishing as a result of purchasing his first fly rod. Fly fishing quickly became his passion, and backpacking trips with family members into the mountains to chase wild native brook trout became a regular event. Allen is currently working on his B.S. degree in Fish and Wildlife management, and is looking forward to turning his passion into a career. He maintains an Instagram account, @mountainstatenatives, where he showcases wild native brook trout and their habitat throughout West Virginia. Allen can be reached at Info@nativefishcoalition.org
