DOUG MATTHEWS

DOUG MATTHEWS is from Buckhannon, West Virginia. He has been fishing since he was a small child, and has been fly fishing for over 20 years. A huge fan of rivers, Doug has white-water rafted, canoed, and fished all over the state. Growing up in WV and fishing for native species, Doug has witnessed firsthand the importance of healthy river systems and a need to protect our rivers and the native species that belong there. Doug has a Bachelor's degree in History and a minor in Biology. He has worked as a professional fishing guide for 6 years and is currently guiding for Elk Springs Resort in Monterville, WV. Doug has been involved in several habitat and stream restoration projects, both as an employer of Allstar Ecology and as a volunteer.
