CODY BAIN

CODY BAIN was born and raised in Tennga, a small town in Murray County, Georgia, on the Tennessee border. Growing up next to the Cohutta Wilderness, Cody had ample opportunity to fish, hunt, and hike, and experience wild places firsthand. Cody studied Environmental Science at Dalton State College. He works in water and wastewater regulatory compliance for for a local utility company. Cody calls the Conasauga and Jacks Rivers and their tributaries “home water.” He also has a long history with the Hiwassee River watershed, and the fabled Tellico River of Tennessee. Cody spends much of his time on small streams in North Georgia, Southeast Tennessee, and Western North Carolina, pursuing what are some of the southernmost wild native brook trout in the world, as well as rare stream-resident redeye bass. He is passionate about wild native fish and their habitats, as well as other aquatic life, and sees Native Fish Coalition as a way to help protect them. Cody looks forward to sharing what he knows with young people and other outdoors folks. He can be reached at Info@nativefishcoalition.org
