MIKE POTE
MIKE POTE grew up in Michigan where he spent most of his summer days fishing with friends on Lake St. Claire and Lake Huron. Today he resides in Virginia, where he works for the state in the Human Resources field. Like many, Mike turned his attention away from fishing and toward other pursuits during his high school and college years. It was not until many years later when his two sons were in grade school that he rediscovered his love of fishing. Today Mike spends his time fishing the James River, mountain streams, and impoundments. Along with his oldest son, Mike discovered fly fishing, and never looked back. His favorite species to target is Virginia's wild native brook trout. Mike can be reached at Info@NativeFishCoalition.org
