SAVANNA PATENAUDE

Protecting Maine’s native fish populations is imperative. We have years of mistakes to answer for. We can and must do better. Together, I believe we will.
— Savanna Patenaude

SAVANNA PATENAUDE was born and raised in the mountains of Western Maine, where hunting and fishing was a family tradition. She serves as the current chair for Maine Women Fly Fishers, and has held that position since October 2021. Savanna graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Sciences, and from the University of New England in 2022 with a Doctor of Pharmacy. She has been an avid fly fisherman since age 18 and logs 70+ days of fishing each season. Savanna’s passion for conservation is also a family tradition. Her late grandfather, a master Maine Guide, shared the importance of protecting and maintaining Maine’s natural resources with her late in his life. Savanna’s joined Native Fish Coalition to help protect Maine’s wild native brook trout, and help get more young people involved in native fish conservation.
