LUKAS KOPACKI

Men argue. Nature acts.
— Voltaire

LUKAS KOPACKI, a New Jersey native, currently lives in Burlington, Vermont. He grew up fishing the few wild native trout streams that the New York City metro area had to offer. This resulted in a deep appreciation for the native salmonids of the east coast. Lukas graduated with a B.S. from University of Vermont where he studied forestry, geospatial technologies, and data science. He currently works for Wildlife Works as a Forest Science Analyst and with the Forest Ecosystem Monitoring Cooperative as a Geospatial Research Specialist.  Depending on the season, Lukas can be found fishing for wild native lake trout in Lake Champlain, brook trout in the small streams in the Green Mountains region, or landlocked Atlantic Salmon in tributaries to Lake Champlain.
