LUKE WAELDNER
LUKE WAELDNER was born in Yarmouth, Maine. He has a family camp in fabled Rangeley, Maine, home to the most notable wild native brook trout waters in the country. Luke learned to fly fish in Rangeley which exposed him to wild native trout in a natural and undeveloped setting. He graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2022 with an Environmental Engineering degree. After spending 7 years in Colorado, Luke returned to New England. Luke currently resides in Charlestown, Massachusetts, where he works as a project engineer for a Boston-based solar company. He spends many of his weekends in the Rangeley region where he pursues the abundant wild native fish in the area. After spending years fishing tiny nymphs in the clear alpine waters of Colorado, Luke now enjoys casting dry flies for wild native brook trout with a fiberglass fly rod.
