NFC Executive Director Bob Mallard and National Chair Emily Bastian were invited to speak at The Fly Casters of Boston at the prestigious Union Club in Boston, Massachusetts.
A formal venue with a jacket and tie requirement, Bob donned his first jacket and tie since leaving the corporate world close to twenty years ago. Rumor has it that Bob has decided to up his game as they say now that NFC has grown well beyond the boundaries of the fly fishing community :)
Bob and Emily presented on wild native brook trout, including biology, habitat and habits, history and lore, and pictures. Most importantly, NFC touched on status, threats and conservation, as well as what NFC has done to protect, preserve and restore this invaluable and irreplaceable natural resource.
