OH NFC Posts Informational Signs on Plum Creek at Oberlin College...
OH NFC board member Loughran Cabe, Vice Chair Stephen Surmacz, and Chair Cameron Layne.
Members of the Ohio chapter of NFC worked with Oberlin College and Conservancy and The GREEN Edge Fund to develop informational signs denoting the presence of 12 species of native minnows in a stressed stream on campus property.
As sign projects go, we are very proud of this one as it takes the native fish message beyond gamefish, brings it onto a college campus, and involves a stream with obvious challenges. OH NFC will be looking into the possibility of expanding this project in regard to stream assessment.
