Owego Creek in NY Gets Wild Native Brook Trout Signs...

The New York chapter of NFC worked with Al Hazzard chapter of Trout Unlimited and Tioga County Anglers on an informational sign for Owego Creek in southcentral New York. Home to wild native brook trout, the population is currently stressed by floods, droughts, nonnative fish, and angler exploitation. The group hopes to influence anglers to minimize their impact on these fish wherever possible.

We will be updating this campaign as volunteers from the three partner organizations begin posting signs. Special thanks to everyone who worked together to make this happen.
