Ohio NFC Hosts Stream Sampling Event on Captina Creek...
The Ohio chapter of NFC partnered with Captina Conservancy to educate the public in regard to native fish and their habitats in Captina Creek, a tributary to the Ohio River. Seigning efforts found fifteen species of fish across 4 families including smallmouth bass, silver redhorse, spotfin shiner, and variegate darter.
The event showcased the unique fish species assemblage found in eastern Ohio as well as the Captina Creek watershed. NFC would like to thank Captina Conservancy for helping make this event possible.
