VT NFC Submits Position on Proposed 8-Fish Daily Limit on Brook Trout in Rivers and Streams

As NFC has noted in a recent campaign update, while a step in the right direction, we do not believe that the proposal to reduce Vermont’s 12-fish daily limit on native brook trout in rivers and streams goes far enough to ensure the safety of the resource. Even at 8 fish, Vermont is tied for the highest in the native range.
