CT NFC Chimes in on Proposed Stream Reclassifications
“Protecting, conserving, and restoring Connecticut’s remaining wild native brook trout is a primary concern for NFC. In furtherance of this mission, we have identified, through independently collected anecdotal evidence, along with research of historic data, four (4) inland streams that we believe are reasonable candidates for Class 1 WTMA status. To this effect, we respectfully recommend that the entirety of the following inland waterways be reclassified to Class 1 WTMAs.”
