Trek for Trout is a citizen science initiative in New York's Adirondacks Region where volunteers and the NY DEC install informational signs on remote brook trout ponds to solicit angler data and note critically important baitfish restrictions.

Several members of NY NFC particpated in the event. A subsequent video about the event spotlighed NY NFC Chair Scott Daskiewich and NY NFC.

Unfortunately, the finalized 2025-2040 Adirondack Brook Trout Pond Management Plan falls short of what is needed to allow these unique wild native trout waters to prosper.
