CHASE BARTEE
CHASE BARTEE is an award winning American filmmaker, photographer, writer, and illustrator. His primary focus is the natural world, and promoting the value and importance of healthy, functioning, and natural ecosystems. Born in the Northwest, with extended family ties in Montana, Chase moved to Haifa, Israel when he was 2 years old. Each summer his family would return to the fabled trout waters of southwestern Montana, where he fostered a deep love and appreciation for cold water ecosystems and the species that inhabit them. After being accepted to the Rhode Island School of Design with an illustration based portfolio, Chase switched gears receiving a BFA in film, animation, and video. He continues to illustrate to this day, specializing in scientifically accurate renderings of salmonids and other fishes. Chase is married to renowned photographer, Aimee Bartee, and co-founder of Tight Loops; an all encompassing outdoor media production company. Their films, photos, and writing have been featured in top outdoor publications, commercials, and film festivals throughout the world. The Bartee’s currently live on the road full time, calling their 1985 Volkswagen Vanagon home. Chase can be reached at tightloopsfly@gmail.com
