NFC Fund-Raising Raffle

Custom Trout Net by Lacina Nets

This net by Sam Lacina of Lacina Nets was inspired by nets made by Lyle Dickerson, a well known Michigan bamboo rod maker. The hoop is a slightly enlarged version of the hoop Lyle used on his nets. The woods are hardwoods found along many Eastern trout streams. The ash was harvested after being attacked by the emerald ash borer. Both woods are under threat much like our native fisheries. The net is finished with 6 layers of epoxy and has a soft shallow nylon catch and release style bag. The handle is finished with a handcrafted brass eye and an inlaid NFC logo medallion.
