The world loves hats, anglers love hats, and NFC loves hats…
NFC carries 13 hat styles with 1-3 colors per style. We sell hats with full-color sewn-on cloth logo patches, laser etched bison leather sewn-on logo patches, and hollow white embroidered logos. We use the standard “EST. 2017” logo on most hats, “PROTECT.PRESERVE.RESTORE” logo on 2 hats, 21 state logos, and 4 fish species logos.
In order to limit exposure, manage costs and prices, and ensure quality, NFC purchases our hats in small batches. We purchase full-color NFC cloth logo patches in bulk and have someone local sew them on with a small machine. Our leather patch hats come ready to sell as do our new embroidered hat.
From time to time we have to move on from a given hat due to regional popularity - we need to appeal to our 21-state footprint to make it work, cost increases that force prices higher than what the market will bear, availability issues - hat vendors have their own challenges, and minimum quantity purchasing constraints that require we purchase more than we are comfortable doing.
The hats above fall into one or more of those categories so we must move on… The goal is to recoup costs and make room to try some new options. Quick-dry hats have become quite popular and we are looking to add 1 more color to our 2 styles. And camo design preferences seem to change more often than color preferences.
