New: Sale Merchandise Category...

When it comes to logo merchandise, things don’t always go as planned. Once in awhile someone stumbles and the outcome does not meet NFC’s high standards and we respond accordingly. Historically, we have sold these items at a discounted rate at shows and events, and to members, family, and friends.

While the underlying product is sound, like a Gilden Softstyle t-shirt, the logo could be slightly off-center, too large, or too small. Other times a vendor such as Wingo increases their minimum order quantities to a point where we can no longer afford to carry their products.

Sometimes we buy something that is sold under a promotion. While These items usually sell well, often times we cannot get any more and we end up with a low inventory. And while rare, there are times when we just get it wrong. This is usually in regard to hats which while all sell, some are much slower sellers than others.

In general, we like to keep our logo merchandise fresh and moving. While we like to offer a broad range of options, we try to limit things like color runs to 3 per style. And sometimes it takes a bit to figure out what 3 colors are most popular.

With that said, we just added a “Sale” category to our online store to group items we are winding down for whatever reason. Our loss is your gain. But don’t feel guilty buying these items as in doing so you help free up money for wild native fish conservation work and make room for new merchandise…
