ROWAN LYTLE, known as RM Lytle on the www, is a fish bum by any definition of the term.  He is also a fly tyer, writer, and conservationist.  Rowan has traveled the United States trying to catch as many fish species (gamefish and non-gamefish) as possible on a fly.  These adventures opened his eyes to the diversity of wild native fishes and some of the problems they face.  Rowan bucks convention by speaking to the importance of lesser-known, and even disliked, native fishes, from burbot to sea lamprey.  Having lived in Connecticut most of his life, the plight of the state’s native fish and their habitats are a primary focus.  He maintains a blog called Connecticut Fly Angler where he posts about his thoughts and experience. When not fishing or writing about fish, Rowan is also an avid observer, photographer, and advocate of amphibians and reptiles, including Connecticut's endangered timber rattlesnakes.  Rowan can be reached at Info@nativefishcoalition.org
