SPENCER BELSON is a high school student and Life Scout from Andover, Massachusetts, and NFC’s youngest board member. He is an avid fly fisherman and fly tyer, and enjoys exploring streams in Massachusetts and Maine in search of wild native fish. Spencer was the New England winner of the 2021 Maine Sportsman Youth Writing Contest, and won first place in the 8th-10th grade division of the 2021 Trout Unlimited/Orvis Teen Essay Contest. After attending Barry Conservation Camp in Berlin, New Hampshire for two years, Spencer became interested in fisheries conservation. He started working with Native Fish Coalition in 2020 on a school project, and is also a Director-at-Large for a New England Trout Unlimited chapter.
