JOHN SANDY

JOHN SANDY grew on the banks of a large tributary of the White River in Northwest Arkansas. He learned to fish at a very young age, targeting native smallmouth bass, warmouth, bluegill and gar every day after school. After living in Colorado for a decade, he returned to Arkansas to find the river he grew up on was no longer recognizable as a result severe erosion and industrial impacts. That is when he became an advocate for wild native fish and their habitats, educating young people and others in regard to managing our resources for future generations. John currently works in the Cycling Industry and serves on the local Search and Rescue team. He can be reached at Info@NativeFishCoalition.org
