IRSAL CABAHUG
IRSAL CABAHUG has lived in Connecticut his whole life. He earned a nursing degree from Northeastern University, and obtained a MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Quinnipiac University. He learned to fly fish roughly 35 years ago on the Farmington River. Irsal now uses fishing to escape the rigors of life in the medical world. When he wants to get away from the crowds, Irsal explores the many small streams in the Farmington River Valley and in Eastern CT in search of wild native brook trout. He is also an avid striped bass fisherman, who focuses his attention on the flats in Cape Cod Bay. During the winter months, Irsal restores bamboo fly rods and builds custom graphite rods for friends and family, and ties flies to stock his fly boxes for the upcoming season.
