MICHAEL PLETS has a degree in Coastal & Environmental Science from Louisiana State University.  He developed a passion for fish and fishing at a young age, fishing the waters in and around his hometown in north Georgia for native bass and sunfish.  Michael’s passion expanded into other types of fishing including fly fishing and surf fishing, as well as other species of fish.  The creeks and rivers that he once overlooked in favor of lakes and ponds became some of his favorite spots.  The ecological and geological differences from drainage to drainage captivated him, as did the beautiful wild native fish that inhabited them.  Michael is passionate about protecting the wild native fishes that call Georgia home.
