LUKE BRICCETTI

LUKE BRICCETTI currently resides in South Burlington, Vermont. A passionate conservationist and outdoorsman, he grew up fishing the saltwater along the coast of New York prior to moving to Vermont. Luke has fallen in love with the rich and unique biodiversity of Lake Champlain, as well as Vermont’s small mountain streams where he pursues wild native brook trout. Luke graduated from Tufts University and currently splits his time between working as an assistant planner at the Northwest Regional Planning Commission in St. Albans, Vermont, and as a graduate student in Natural Resources & Ecology at State University of New York in Plattsburgh. One of the focal points of both his graduate research and planning work is to improve stream habitat connectivity for Vermont’s native species, including brook trout. Luke also works on projects to reduce phosphorous inputs into the Lake Champlain basin. He looks to use his role with NFC to advocate for both native gamefish, and Vermont’s lesser-known native nongame fish species. Luke can be reached at Info@nativefishcoalition.org
