WILL MUNDHENKE

The South has long overlooked its native fish and ecosystems. These irreplaceable fish belong where they are found and it’s up to us all to steward them for the next generation.
— Will Mundhenke

WILL MUNDHENKE began his outdoor education in the foothills of northern Georgia. He grew up fishing lakes and ponds for black bass, and later discovered fly fishing for stream-resident redeye bass. Will holds a B.A. in History from the University of North Georgia and an M.A. in Environmental and Public History from the University of South Carolina. He gained an affinity for native fish while studying man’s intricate and complex relationship with the natural world. Will has worked for numerous natural resource agencies including the National Park Service. He is particularly passionate about education and outreach focusing on South Carolina's wild native fish.
