LIESEL FENSTERMAKER

Only if we understand, will we care. Only if we care, will we help. Only if we help, shall all be saved.
— Jane Goodall

LIESEL FENSTERMAKER grew up in northeast Ohio in a small town called Newbury. She relocated to Columbus to attend Ohio State University where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture. Liesel currently works as a Naturalist for Battelle Darby Creek Metropark and as a Programming Assistant for the Scenic Rivers Program within the Natural Areas and Preserves division of Ohio Department of Natural Resources. She has a passion for teaching the public about Ohio's natural resources, and especially when it involves the biodiversity of rivers. Liesel is especially interested in the darters that reside within Big and Little Darby Creek and their involvement in the life cycle of freshwater mussels.
