CARL "BUTCH" SHRAKE

CARL “BUTCH” SHRAKE lives in Ellicott City, Maryland. He grew up in Cumberland, MD where he fished the small wild native brook trout steams of Western Maryland. Carl has a bachelor’s degree in Earth Science (hydrology and geomorphology), and Political Science. He also has a master’s in public administration. After several years as an officer in the Marine Corps, Carl held several positions with major consulting firms working with government and private industry. While traveling for business, Carl took advantage of the opportunity to explore the nation’s waters whenever and wherever possible. Carl has fished for wild native golden trout in the High Sierras, grayling and salmon in Scotland, and cutthroat trout in Montana and Wyoming.
