COLTON WALKER

You are killing me, fish, the old man thought. But you have a right to. Never have I seen a greater, or more beautiful, or a calmer or more noble thing than you, brother.
— Ernest Hemingway

COLTON WALKER is a born and raised Michigander from the southeast part of the state. He has spent his life exploring the state’s lakes and rivers and rich native fish biodiversity. Colton developed a passion for fly fishing a decade ago after watching others do it. His home water, the Shiawassee River, empties into Lake Michigan at Saginaw Bay and offers some of the finest native smallmouth bass fishing in the state. Colton works for Michigan Department of Natural Resources as an Explore Guide where he helps teach people the importance of the state’s natural resources. He has a passion for native lake sturgeon, smallmouth bass, brook trout, and Arctic grayling. Colton can be reached at Info@NativeFishColaition.org
