Stewart Thacker
STEWART THACKER was born and raised in East Tennessee. He has fished with a passion for wild native fish his entire life. Stewart is currently pursuing a B.S. of Conservation Biology at Lincoln Memorial University with the intention of pursuing a career in fisheries biology. He prides himself in not just being a conservation-based angler, but also educating others to act in the same manner. Stewart is a Certified Angling Instructor with the Great Smoky Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America where he teaches all ages how to fish and enjoy the resource. He also teaches other anglers how to teach others to fish with the least negative impact possible, believing that that conservation begins with knowledge. More of a conventional tackle angler than a fly fisher, Stewart pursues large catfish and other large predator species He also believes that a "trophy" is relative to the type and size of water as much as the size of the fish.
