KEVIN ASBURY grew up in Gadsden in northeasterm Alabama. As a shild a neighbor made him a cane pole and told him he could fish in the creek that ran through his backyard. That one act is what started Kevin’s passion for fish and fishing. As years passed Kevin’s developed an interest in Alabama’s native fish species and the places they live. This resulted in a desire to protect these native species and their habitats so they will persist for generations to come. Kevin enjoys wade and canoe fly fishing with his son. Alabama’s native fish bring a great deal of happiness to so many. He believes we all need to speak up and stand up for these species so that the happiness they bring can be shared.
