BRANDON JACKSON

Brandon with a wild native Wyoming cutthroat trout.

BRANDON JACKSON spent his youth wading creeks, fishing ponds, and walking fields looking for outdoor adventure.  He caught small creek minnows and crayfish, fly fished for bream and bass, and hunted deer, ducks, and quail.  In 2002 Brandon left the waters and fields of Eads, Tennessee, for Jasper, Alabama.  Once there he discovered new opportunities, as well as the stories of “How things used to be....”  In 2005, Brandon and his wife opened Riverside Fly Shop in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.  He spends much of his time trying to make sure those stories of the good old days lead to better stewardship, conservation, and management.  Brandon spends as many days on the water chasing fish with his clients, hunting the woods for deer with friends, and walking fields for quail with his two daughters as he can.  This deep appreciation and understanding of the great outdoors has played a key role in his desire to protect wild native fish for generations to come.  Brandon can be reached at Info@nativefishcoalition.org
