MATTHEW GRECO
“Fish come and go, but it is the memory of afternoons on the stream that endure.”
MATTHEW GRECO lives in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. He is an avid fly fisherman who spent most of his time outdoors growing up. It was during this time that Matt gained an appreciation for nature and native species. Matthew enjoys backpacking into remote areas in search of wild native brook trout. Over the past several years the native species and their habitats in the Pocono region have seen a notable decline. This drove Matt to get involved with NFC. He has been involved in several stream restoration projects, including planting native plants to improve riparian areas and help keep the water cool. Today, Matt considers himself more of a conservationist than a sportsman. Matt can be reached at Info@NativeFishCoalition.org
