NOAH DONTEN
NOAH DONTEN currently resides in the greater Philadelphia area. He graduated from Penn State with a degree in Actuarial Science. Noah started fishing at a young age, initially targeting bass and other warmwater species. His transition to fly fishing led Noah to discover wild native brook trout, Pennsylvania’s state fish. Seeing firsthand the beauty of these wild native fish and their habitats inspired Noah to get involved with conservation efforts, and to author Brook by Brook: Chasing our State Fish with a Fly Rod. Noah believes it is critical to mitigate the impacts of pollution, habitat loss, and invasive fish wherever possible to protect and preserve our native fish for ecological and social reasons.
