NY NFC and Al Hazzard TU Post Informational Signs and Plant Trees

The New York chapter of NFC worked with Al Hazzard chapter of Trout Unlimited and Tioga County Anglers to post informational signs and plant trees in the Owego Creek watershed. The group posted 2 signs at public access sites and planted roughly 60 native trees to improve the riparian area.

Equipment, expertise, and trees were provided by Upper Susquehanna Coalition and Tioga County Soil and Water District. This collaborative effort looks to help protect and enhance wild native brook trout that have been depressed due to extreme weather events and angler exploitation.

Special thanks to NY NFC Chair Scott Daskiewich and board member Lance Lascari, Ed Meyer from AHTU, and Allen Peterson from TCA forhelping to make this happen.
