NFC Hosts Ohio Women on the Fly native fish sampling event...
The Ohio chapter of NFC recently hosted a native fish sampling event for Ohio Women on the Fly at Olentangy River, a unique aquatic ecosystem in central Ohio.
OH NFC used seining and dip-netting to capture 16 native species of fish: mimic, rosyface, sand, silver, and spotfin shiner, banded, bluebreast, greenside, Johnny, and rainbow darter, bluntnose and fathead minnow, Northern hog sucker, green sunfish, bluegill, and brook silverside.
