Local Anglers form Friends of Trout Brook 501(c)(3) Non-Profit...
As a result of a 2-year project by NFC on Trout Brook in Dover, Massachusetts, concerned local anglers and conservationists have formed a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, The Friends of Trout Brook, to address some of the problems identified by NFC. This represents a huge step forward as without a formal local presence, further action in regard to mitigation would be an uphill battle at best.
The new group will be meeting with NFC shortly to discuss next steps to try to correct some of what has impaired the coldwater characteristics of this unique wild native brook trout stream just outside of Boston, and hopefully restore the signature fish species which is depressed at best and lost at worst…
