Chapter to National NFC Reporting

Background

It is critically important that National NFC knows what chapters are working on and what the status of planned projects, events, shows, etc., is. It is also important that we are aware of any new issues that come up, including project and partnership opportunities, proposed shows and events, and changes in regard to Board and Advisory Council membership.

National NFC needs to know what is going on so that we are not blindsided with questions we cannot answer, don’t learn about things on the www first, and so we are able to plan resources, funding, equipment, merchandise, etc.

Equally important is that if chapters do not keep National abreast of what they are doing, we cannot promote your work. Failing to update CAMPAIGN entries, blog, and otherwise promote what chapters are doing greatly reduces the support that chapters receive from the public while negatively impacting NFC as a whole.

POLICY

  • Chapters must submit a monthly status report to National NFC. The report should be emailed to the applicable National Vice Chair, National Chair, and Executive Director. Reports should include the following:

  • Open project updates

  • Tentative projects and partnerships

  • Tentative shows and events

  • Issues, concerns, and ideas

  • Chapter status reports should be submitted soon after the monthly chapter Zoom so as to be most current and complete.

  • The chapter Secretary should be responsible for creating status reports using input from the Chair and Vice Chair.

SUMMARY

Failure to know and promote what chapters do has resulted in low membership, donations, and merchandise sales in regard to chapters that are not keeping National NFC abreast of what they are doing. This negatively impacts the chapter, National NFC, and everyone involved.
