Maine NFC Opposes Stocking Pond Not Stocked in 25 Years...

One again, Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has proposed stocking a pond that has not been stocked in 25 years. Technically eligable for State Heritage Fish water designation, MDIFW is using criteria that is inconsistent with that used to add waters up front.

The last thing Maine needs is more stocked brook trout ponds, especially in areas surrounded by wild native brook trout waters. Sadly, NFC presented the only opposition and the pond will be stocked. Where are the other conservation orgs?
