Winston 590-4 Air Fly Rod (Summer 2019)
In summer 2019, R. L. Winston Rod Co. generously donated a 9’ 5-weight, 4-piece Winston Air fly rod with custom imprinted, “Native Fish Coalition”, with a retail value of $950 to NFC to help raise funds for native fish conservation initiatives.
We printed just 100 raffle tickets and sold them for $20 per or three for $50 throughout the 2019 winter show and presentation season, raising just under $1,800, or close to two times its retail value.
The lucky winner, Ed from Massachusetts, was drawn in early May - click here to see drawing video. Below is Ed fishing with his new rod, and below that his faithful companion Ally carrying it to the boat for him - thankfully, labs have soft mouths :)
