NFC Pennsylvania Chapter Goes Live...

Pennsylvania is said to have more miles of rivers and streams than any state in America except Alaska. It is also home to a wide variety of native fish species.

NFC is excited to announce that our new Pennsylvania chapter is now live! We started in 2017 with a Maine chapter, added New Hampshire and Vermont chapters in 2018, and added Massachusetts and Pennsylvania chapters in 2020, in spite of all the challenges...

Launched with a 14-member board, no NFC chapter has come out of the gate stronger from a personnel standpoint. A great range of skills, education, age, contacts, and geographic representation, we feel strongly that PA NFC will be able to nudge the needle in the right direction in regard to wild native fish.

While Pennsylvania is a leader in habitat work, and even habitat protection, protection for wild native fish is lacking.
