NFC Executive Director Bob Mallard on Maine's Arctic Charr (American Fly Fishing)

In the ever-changing world of print media, Eastern Fly Fishing, Southwest Fly Fishing, and Northwest Fly Fishing have been merged into a single publication called American Fly Fishing. They cover conservation, where-to (travel), how-to (technique), and what-to (tackle). You can get digital-only or print/digital subscriptions.

In the May/June 2020 edition, NFC Executive Director Bob Mallard provides a brief overview and status update in regard to Maine’s rare Arctic charr, formerly known as blueback trout and Sunapee trout. Kudos to Editor-in-Chief John Shewey and American Fly Fishing for spotlighting this unique wild native salmonid resource.
