NFC Unsung Heroes: Debby Bastian

There are many parts to NFC, and without these parts the organization would not be what it is. One of those parts is Debby Bastian, our Membership Services coordinator.

Debby is the mother of NFC founding member, National Chair, and former National Vice Chair, National Secretary/Treasurer, and Maine Chair, Emily Bastian. She is also the wife of Maine NFC Chair Larry Bastian. It would be fair to call the Bastian’s the first family of NFC…

Debby has been a lifelong supporter of her daughter Emily's conservation work, and a supporter of NFC since its inception. While not formally involved at the time, Debby helped Emily with administrative tasks since the beginning of NFC. 

Debby formally took over the role of Membership Services coordinator when Emily stepped into the National Vice Chair position. She is responsible for all member/donor confirmation mailings, as well as schwag fulfillment. With 18 state chapters, a growing membership, and a robust schwag offering, this is no easy task.

NFC owes a great debt to Debby, and in fact the whole Bastian family. Few work as hard in support of our growing organization as Debby. She can be reached at Info@NativeFishCoalition.org
